Three things before I get started on this post..
1) I just recently reached over 100 followers on my blog and I am so happy!! Huge thanks to everyone who takes the time to read, like, comment, or even recommend me to other readers. It means so so so much to me. I love all of you! 💛
2) I was going to post this yesterday but I started my new job yesterday and didn’t really get the chance to write or anything. Sorry!
3) This was my second attempt recording and what not at a trip. My video is all over the place because I would forget to whip out my camera and record or just forget my camera in my room. Sorry! I promise I’m learning and I know I’ll get better the more I do it. I still hope you guys enjoy.
Ok.. now on with the post. First, here’s the video and link to my YouTube channel!
Sunday July 2nd, my best friend Amanda and I took on a small road trip to Windsor, Ontario.
If you’ve never been to Windsor, I highly recommend it. There is lots to do and if you get the chance, make sure you visit their little information center. You can get a free map of the place and free pamphlets for cool things to do that day or any given day.
The hotel we stayed at was Caesar’s Windsor. And that hotel is NICE. I’m talking big-water-fountain-in-the-lobby NICE. But you guys know my theory/thing on traveling, you don’t have to stay at a nice hotel to enjoy the place you’re visiting. Most of the time you won’t even be there so anything to help make the trip cheap.. even if it’s staying at a 2 star hotel or no stars. (i also highly recommend airbnb)
We walked to the information center, the carnival right outside of our hotel, and the “boardwalk” (i guess you could call it) Not only was it nice exercise but this was also an opportunity to get some photoshoots in. And we all know how much I LOVE those.
After all of that walking we decided to go get ready for the concert. Some people usually don’t think too much of what to wear to a concert but Amanda and I are not like that. We HAVE to look good. I know, always being extra… sorry.
Finally it was concert time! I actually saw Alessia Cara open for Coldplay when I went to their concert in Columbus last year. Let me tell you, I fell in love with this girl. She is so pure and so cute and so sweet. Seeing her have her own tour was like a “proud mom” moment for me. And may I add, her show in Windsor completely SOLD OUT. You go girl! Make it BIG!!
Since we saw Alessia Cara I decided that the songs in my video should be by her. So the first song I used was Outlaws by Alessia Cara. The second song was Stay by Zedd ft. Alessia Cara. Again, I hope you guys enjoy it and feedback is always welcomed here.
My final thoughts on this trip? It was AWESOME. Nothing beats traveling with your best friend even if the both of you have no sense in direction. (yes we almost got lost like 9 times) And even if it’s just a trip that’s 3 and a half hours away, I loved every second of it. Huge shout out to my best friend Amanda for always being down for new adventures.
As always, thanks for reading!
